I was so very excited to shoot Kirsten and Chip’s wedding at the Duxbury Maritime School because their engagement shoot showed me just how completely and totally IN LOVE the two of them are. The time when they are most comfortable in front of the camera is when they are in each other’s arms. They were a complete joy to shoot for my second shooter Shawn Black and me. They even asked to use the modern photographer’s dream backdrop of a beautifully shaded rusty shed. We were in heaven!
Kirsten got ready at her childhood home with her friends, family, and beloved pets. Ocean themed details permeated the day. From starfish hair pins, to table assignments in a bottle, and anchors EVERYWHERE. Even though every weather report called for rain, Kirsten and Chip had a huge struck of luck and had beautiful weather for their outdoor ceremony on Duxbury Bay. The toasts were filled with New Kids on the Block references as Kirsten, a NKOTB fan girl, was missing their concert in Boston that evening. Everyone said they were amazed she didn’t reschedule the wedding around the concert date. But her heart no longer belongs to Joey McIntyre, it forever belongs to Chip.
